The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Bradley County in southeast Arkansas...
Calhoun County in southwest Arkansas...
Drew County in southeast Arkansas...
Ouachita County in southwest Arkansas...
south central Desha County in southeast Arkansas...
southeastern Cleveland County in southeast Arkansas...

* until 730 am CDT

* at 440 am CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar continued
to indicate an area of thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall over
Ouachita County and areas to the east... with the strongest storms
southwest of Poison Springs State Park... or northeast of McNeil.
Doppler radar indicates 1 to 3 inches of rain have fallen with
isolated higher amounts... over parts of the warned area in the
past 1 to 3 hours... and with additional heavy rain expected. Flash
flooding is likely to occur. While rain may taper off in some
areas during the warning period... it will take some time for any
high water to runoff.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to
recognize the dangers of flooding. If flooding is observed act
quickly. Do not enter the water. Turn around and move up to higher
ground to escape flood waters. Do not stay in areas subject to
flooding when water begins rising.

Drew... Desha... southern Dallas... southern Cleveland... southeastern
Clark... Calhoun... Bradley and extreme southern Arkansas counties
until 515 am CDT...

At 410 am CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar was tracking
an area of moderate to strong thunderstorms over southern Arkansas
in Ouachita County and to the east... with the strongest storm 7
miles southwest of Poison Springs State Park... or 15 miles west of
Camden... moving east at 25 mph.

Small hail around pea size and wind gusts up to 35 mph are expected
with these storms... along with heavy rain and frequent dangerous
lightning. The heavy rain will cause ponding of water on roadways
and localized flooding in low lying areas. A Flash Flood Warning is
in effect for parts of the area.
