The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northern Larimer County in north central Colorado...

* until 315 PM MDT

* at 1217 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain 10 miles southeast of Buford. The heavy rain was nearly
stationary. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. Doppler
radar estimated up to 2 inches of rain has fallen in less than one
hour.

* Flash flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of northern
Larimer County.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
northern Larimer County in north central Colorado...

* until 130 PM MDT

* at 1159 am MDT... a thunderstorm producing heavy rain was located 8
miles northwest of Natural Fort... or 15 miles southwest of
Cheyenne... near stationary. Up to one inch of rain has already
fallen in the last 30 minutes.

* Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of northern Larimer
County... northeast of Virginia Dale near the Wyoming border.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

To report flooding... have the nearest law enforcement agency relay
your report to the National Weather Service forecast office.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
It takes only a few inches of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles
away.

feet/Gilpin/Clear Creek/Northeast Park counties below 9000
feet and south and southeast grand/west central and southwest
Boulder/Gilpin/Clear Creek/Summit/north and West Park counties
above 9000 feet. In east central Colorado... north and
northeast Elbert County below 6000 feet/North Lincoln County
and southeast Elbert County below 6000 feet/South Lincoln
County. In north central Colorado... Larimer County below 6000
feet/northwest Weld County... Larimer and Boulder counties
between 6000 and 9000 feet and south and East
Jackson/Larimer/north and northeast grand/northwest Boulder
counties above 9000 feet. In northeast Colorado... Boulder and
Jefferson counties below 6000 feet/west Broomfield County...

* From 2 PM MDT this afternoon through Wednesday afternoon

* widespread showers and thunderstorms will produce 1 to 3 inches
of rain this afternoon through Wednesday. Some thunderstorms may
train or reform over the same areas and produce even higher
rainfall amounts in a few areas.

* Flash flooding of low lying areas... creeks and streams will be
possible along with rock and mud slides. If you live in flood
prone areas or will be traveling... stay alert to the weather
and be prepared for rapidly rising water levels.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
