Lincoln way... to the south Skunk River.
* Until this evening.
* At 10:00 am Saturday the stage was 8.9 feet... or 1.1 feet below
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise to flood stage late this afternoon. Continue rising
to 10.2 feet... or 0.2 feet above flood stage... this evening. Go
below flood stage this evening.
* Impact... at 9.0 feet... water primarily affects low lying areas
near the stream.

the Polk-Jasper County line.
* Until early Monday morning.
* At 10:00 am Saturday the stage was 21.8 feet... or 0.3 feet above
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 21.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast... rise to 23.4 feet... or 1.9 feet above flood stage...
after midnight tonight. Go below flood stage early Monday morning.
* Impact... at 23.0 feet... the Shady Grove trailer park... located at
1006 South Dayton Avenue... floods. The Railroad just northeast of
Cambridge floods as well.

branch near 170th street... to squaw creek.
* Until midday Sunday.
* At 11:00 am Saturday the stage was 14.5 feet... or 2.0 feet above
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast... rise to 15.7 feet... or 3.2 feet above flood stage... this
evening. Go below flood stage midday Sunday.
* Impact... at 14.6 feet... water affects Sargent metal... located at
650 arrasmith trail.

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 630 PM CDT Saturday for
southeastern Webster... northern story... southwestern Hardin...
Hamilton... northeastern Greene and northern Boone counties...

At 547 am CDT... flooding and standing water continued across the
warned area early this morning due to tremendous rainfall amounts
Friday... as high as nine inches or more in spots. Flooding was
reported in Story City overnight due to the rising south Skunk
River. The Story County emergency manager reported water over Forest
Avenue between broad street and 8th street.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Webster City... Story City... Roland... Jewell Junction... Gilbert...
Gowrie... Hubbard... Dayton... Stratford... Coalville... Zearing...
Radcliffe... Otho... Ellsworth... Stanhope... Lehigh... McCallsburg...
Harcourt... Paton and Kamrar.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

A record rainfall of 4.10 inches fell at Waterloo Friday. This
breaks the old record of 2.30 inches set in 1936. This is also
eighth highest daily rainfall on record.
