... Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for Northwestern Lake... Cook
and dupage counties until 830 am CDT...

At 347 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated that the extremely heavy
rainfall has moved out of the area... with only light to moderate
rain continuing. However... total rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches
occurred across portions of the warned area within only a few hour
period from these thunderstorms. Therefore... runoff from this heavy
rainfall will likely continue to lead to areas of flash flooding
across the region this morning... with some roads likely remaining
impassible for several hours.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Addison... Alsip... Berwyn... Blue Island... Brookfield... Burnham... Burr
Ridge... Calumet City... Carol Stream... Chatham... Chicago... Chicago
Heights... Cicero... Dolton and Downers Grove.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from this storm will cause elevated levels on small
creeks and streams... ponding of water on roads... urban areas...
highways... underpasses and low lying areas.

... Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for lake and Porter counties
until 730 am CDT...

At 340 am CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
that the thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall were beginning to
abate across the area. However... rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches
occurred across much of the warned area within only a few hour
period. Therefore... runoff from this heavy rainfall will likely
continue to lead to areas of flash flooding across the region
through 730 this morning.

Some locations that will experience flooding include... Boone
Grove... Burns Harbor... Cedar Lake... Chesterton... Crown Point... Dunns
Bridge... East Chicago... Gary... Griffith... Hammond... Hebron...
Highland... Hobart... Lake station and Lakes of the Four Seasons.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. If flooding is observed... act quickly. Do not
enter the water. Turn around and move up to higher ground. Do not
stay in areas subject to flooding when water begins rising.

counties until 930 am CDT... 1030 am EDT...

At 356 am CDT... 456 am EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar
indicated thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the advisory
area... with rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches. This heavy rainfall
will gradually abate early this morning.

Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause minor flooding to
occur. Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Atkinson... Barce... Beaver City... Conrad... de motte... Dunnington...
Enos... Fair Oaks... Foresman... Forest City... Fowler... Freeland Park...
