Statement as of 4:32 AM EDT on October 17, 2017

Expires 10:00 AM EDT on October 17, 2017

... Locally dense fog and patchy frost this morning...

Fog has developed overnight, and some of the fog has become
locally dense, reducing visibility to one-quarter mile or less in
some areas. The dense fog will be most prevalent near rivers,
streams, larger creeks, and lakes. The fog will lift and dissipate
between 8 and 10 am.

Where fog does not form, patchy frost will be possible toward
dawn in a few sheltered areas and valley locations, but most
places will not experience any frost. Temperatures will bottom out
in the upper 30s in most locations, but a few colder readings in
the middle 30s will occur. Sensitive plants and vegetation may be
harmed or killed should frost occur. Any frost should dissipate
between 8 and 9 am.
