The Flood Warning continues for
the Red River at Shreveport, Louisiana.
* From late Wednesday night until further notice... or until the
warning is cancelled.
* At 900 am Sunday the stage was 28.3 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 30 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early Thursday morning and
continue to rise to near 31.5 feet by the start of June. Additional
rises remain possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 31.0 feet... russel Road will be overflowed and closed
between Blanchard Highway and I-220 in North Shreveport.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Red River at Grand Ecore, Louisiana.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 900 am Sunday the stage was 36.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 33 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 37.0 feet by
June 3. Additional rises remain possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 38.0 feet... the low part of the levee from north of
Grand Ecore will be overflowed with several hundred acres flooded.

the Red River at Coushatta, Louisiana.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 900 am Sunday the stage was 31.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 31 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 33.0 feet by
June 2. Additional rises remain possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 34.0 feet... major flooding occurs. Severe backwater
flooding occurs from the confluence of the Red River with Loggy
Bayou, from upstream to below Lake Bistineau. Cattle and equipment
should be moved to higher ground, and preparations made for major
flooding.

The Bayou Dorcheat at Lake Bistineau, Louisiana.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 900 am Sunday the pool stage was 142.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood Lake stage is 142.5 feet.
* Forecast... the lake will continue rising to near 143.0 feet by
Thursday morning. Additional rises remain possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 142.5 feet... expect some minor flooding of low area
camps, however, all access roadways will remain open.

* Through Tuesday morning

* showers and thunderstorms will continue over the area overnight
across southeast Oklahoma... southwest Arkansas... East Texas and
northwest and north central Louisiana. Rainfall amounts of one
half to one inch with isolated higher amounts will be possible
overnight. Another strong upper level disturbance will move
through the region Monday afternoon and Monday night...
resulting in another round of locally heavy rainfall. Rainfall
amounts with this second system will range from two to in excess
of four inches... with the two day storm total amounts ranging
from three to five inches... with locally higher amounts. This
will result in increased runoff and flash flooding.Al for flash
flooding.

* Low lying and poor drainage areas... especially in the vicinity
of rapidly rising creeks and very heavy rainfall... will be
most prone to flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Do not cross moving water on roadways... bridges... and at low
water crossings. Road surfaces and culverts can be washed out.

Turn around... dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles attempting to cross in high water.

... Preliminary results in from damage survey conducted in
Harrison County Texas...

A damage survey was completed in Harrison County from storms that
moved through the area late Sunday morning. The survey team found
at least one EF1 tornado track that began about 10 miles northeast
of Beckville in the Gill community. The tornado continued along a
north northeasterly path... crossing Interstate 20 into eastern
Marshall. The tornado lifted approximately six miles north
northeast of Marshall. These results are preliminary... and a more
detailed report will follow at a later time.
