... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 4 am EDT Monday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of southeast Maryland, including the following
areas, inland Worcester and Somerset.

* Until 4 am EDT Monday

* showers with embedded thunderstorms will continue to bring some
additional heavy rain into early Monday morning. Training storms
will bring the potential for flash flooding in areas that have
received heavy rainfall from earlier this evening.



Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* flood advisory for...
southeastern Somerset County in southeastern Maryland...
southwestern Worcester County in southeastern Maryland...

* until 115 am EDT

* at 1017 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in
the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain has already fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches is expected over
the area through 1 am EDT Monday. This additional rain will result
in minor flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pocomoke City, west Pocomoke, Westover, Cokesbury, goodwill,
Fairmount, Upper Hill, Rehobeth, Kingston, Manokin, Upper
Fairmount, Rumbley and Whitesburg.



Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
