* until late Tuesday night... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0845 PM Friday... the stage was 54.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 50.0 feet. Moderate flood stage is 53.0 feet.
* Forecast... secondary crest from routed flow to remain within moderate
flood stage reaching 53.5 feet Sunday morning.
* At 55.0 feet... major lowland flooding begins.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Navasota river near Normangee...
* until further notice.
* At 0800 PM Friday... the stage was 14.8 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise to near
18.1 feet early Monday morning... then slowly fall.
* At 18.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding begins as three channels merge into
one below State Highway 21. There is widespread inundation of the flood plain
in the vicinity of the gage with the river more than 1.5 miles wide. Long
trussel Road in northeast Brazos County below State Highway 21 becomes
inundated.

Storm survey found fairly large area of significant damage south of
Navasota near FM 2988 with trunks of large trees snapped and several
structures severely damaged. Two homes had their roofs removed. A
commercial metal building system was severely damaged. Initially
considered possibility of large tornado but careful inspection of
damage and radar data... think there were actually two tornadoes.
Each of the Navasota tornadoes was borderline EF1 EF2 damage.

Ef scale: the Enhanced Fujita scale classifies tornadoes
into the following categories.

EF0... weak... ... 65 to 85 mph
EF1... weak... ... 86 to 110 mph
EF2... strong... .111 to 135 mph
EF3... strong... .136 to 165 mph
EF4... violent... 166 to 200 mph
EF5... violent... >200 mph
