southeastern Comal County in south central Texas...
northeastern Medina County in south central Texas...
Bexar County in south central Texas...
north central Wilson County in south central Texas...

* until 815 PM CDT

* at 420 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area... which
extends from near Lake Medina... across the San Antonio Metro area
to near Kingsbury. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Antonio... New Braunfels... Seguin... Universal City... Schertz...
Cibolo... Live Oak... Leon Valley... Kirby... Helotes... Alamo
Heights... Selma... Windcrest... Terrell Hills... Garden Ridge...

* at 244 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a cluster of slow moving
thunderstorms producing heavy rain along and 15 miles either side
of a line from Medina to Spring Branch to San Marcos. A few
thunderstorms in this cluster will produce 2 to 3 inches of rain.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* a portion of south central Texas... including the following
areas... Atascosa... Bandera... Bastrop... Bexar... blanco...
Burnet... Caldwell... Comal... De Witt... Dimmit... Edwards...
Fayette... frio... Gillespie... Gonzales... Guadalupe... Hays...
Karnes... Kendall... Kerr... Kinney... Lavaca... Lee... Llano...
Maverick... Medina... real... Travis... Uvalde... Val Verde...
Williamson... Wilson and Zavala.

* Through Sunday morning

* a cold front and several outflow boundaries will help trigger
scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms across south
central Texas this afternoon and tonight. Some storms could
move slowly... and produce locally heavy rainfall. Between 1 to 2
inches of rain is possible... with isolated amounts up to 3
inches.

* Due to the very moist conditions of the grounds and soils in
the area... rapid flash flooding of creeks... streams... low
water crossings and some roadways will be possible where heavy
rain develops.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means flash flooding is possible in or near
the watch area. If you are in the watch area... plan now for what
you will do if flash flooding develops. Stay informed and be
ready to act if you see flooding or if a Flash Flood Warning is
issued.
