... Forecast flooding increased from minor to major severity...
the Flood Warning continues for the Plum Creek near Luling.
* Until late Wednesday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 27.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
A Caldwell County sheriffs officer could not see the bridge or even
the bridge railings and reported that the bridge was under deep water.
* Forecast... the creek level will begin falling during the early morning
hours on Wednesday. It is expected that the creek level will fall to below
flood stage by Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact... at 23.0 feet... minor lowland flooding escapes banks into lower
sections of the flood plain..
* flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 23.0 feet on Jun 1
1987.

the Flood Warning continues for the Guadalupe River at Gonzales.
* At 8:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 41.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 31.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river level will rise to around 43.0 feet by early Wednesday
evening. The river level will fall below flood stage Thursday before midnight.
* Impact... at 43.0 feet... major flooding closes highways 183, 97 and farm to
Market 108. Runoff down Tinsley creek in Gonzales added to the Guadalupe River
backwater can flood lowest homes near the creek. Secondary roads and streets
near the river are flooded and dangerous to motorists..

the Flood Warning continues for the San Marcos river below Luling.
* At 8:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 28.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river level will continue falling and is expected to go below
flood stage by late Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact... at 28.0 feet... most of Palmetto State Park is flooded including farm
to Market 2091 through the park. Flow is approaching the Large Park Pavillion
building. All park visitors are evacuated. At Highway 80 in Luling flow is
well into the flood plain and approaching The Golf Course. Livestock are cut
off in the flood plain below San Marcos to Gonzales..

Survey_summary: the NWS survey team concluded a tornado touched down
near goehmann Lane on the eastern portions of Fredericksburg. The
tornado traveled to the northeast crossing Pedernales estates Road
before lifting near lonesome trail. Damage was primarily to trees but
a water pump station on goehmann Lane lost its roof and one brick wall.

Survey_summary: the NWS survey team concluded a tornado touched down
near the intersection of ranch Road 1320 and north Grape Creek. The
tornado traveled to the northeast along ranch Road 1320 eventually
crossing ranch Road 1323 and lifting before Highway 281. Damage was
primarily to numerous trees which were uprooted or suffered damage
to large limbs. Two barns suffered damage as well.
