... Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Friday afternoon
through Saturday evening for wind and low relative humidity for the
Kittitas Valley region and surrounding Cascade valleys...

* affected area: fire weather zone 676 East Washington south
central Cascade valleys (zone 676).

* Winds: northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Relative humidities: 12 to 22 percent.

* Impacts: rapid fire spread is possible with existing fires or
new fire starts in the area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.

... Fire Weather Watch now in effect from Friday afternoon through
Saturday evening for gusty winds and low humidity for fire
weather zones Washington 639 and Oregon 639...

* affected area... fire weather zone 639 east slopes of the
northern Oregon Cascades and fire weather zone 639 east slopes
of the southern Washington Cascades..mainly the eastern Columbia
River gorge.

* Timing... lowest relative humidity combined with stronger winds
expected to occur between 1 PM through 8 PM Friday through
Saturday.

* Wind... west winds 10 to 25 mph Friday through Saturday with the
strongest winds in the eastern Columbia River gorge.

* Humidity... as low as 18 percent.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended. Do not release fireworks
near areas of dry vegetation or flammable material.
